For information on our courses see the Courses page. Forthcoming events: Saturday 12 May, 10am We are very fortunate that Tulku Chökyi Nyima Rinpoche has offered to give a teaching at the Sydney Rigpa Centre on his first visit to Australia. Chökyi Nyima Rinpoche is the oldest son of Tulku Urgyen Rinpoche. He is an incarnate high Lama of the Kagyu tradition, and has a good command of the English language. For more than 35 years, he has been instructing a vast and growing number of students, of nearly every nationality, in meditation and Vajrayana practices. With a concise, lucid and humorous approach, Rinpoche imparts the very heart of the Buddhist teachings, revealing the natural simplicity of enlightened mind. Rinpoche has taught at several Rigpa centres, including Lerab Ling, Amsterdam, London and San Francisco. More details here 5-6 June 2012 Responding effectively to the needs of patients and clients is an on-going professional and deeply personal challenge. Drawing on Sogyal Rinpoche’s groundbreaking book, The Tibetan Book of Living and Dying, this Compassion and Presence seminar provides in-depth training in unique skills, such as contemplative listening, which will support you in your work and life. Scientific research has shown that the skills of meditation and compassion effectively enhance the care we offer. As part of professional self-care, they are also a powerful antidote to compassion fatigue, exhaustion and burnout. More information here |
